This blog is hosted by Blogger, an Alphabet, INC property. As such, my working assumption is that Alphabet will track everything you do on this site, maximizing the amount of damage that can be done to you.
I do use Google Analytics, to find out what pages people view, and how they landed on this blog. This tracking can be defeated, by installing No-Script, or similar program, in your web browser, and not allowing access to anything hosted at Google-Analytics.Com. Some of the blocklists for Ublock Origin, block everything connected with Google Analytics.
Most other tracking tools can be defeated by installing UBlock Origin, or similar add-blocking software to your web-browser, and subscribing to several of the anti-tracking lists.
Any cookies thrown at you, whilst visiting this specific blog, are there courtesy of Alphabet, INC, or one of the plethora of partners it has, whose business model is to grab as much information about you as possible, to maximize the amount of damage that they can do to you, in the name of their holy deity --- money.
In May 2018 Google replaced "Do not be evil" with "Do the right thing" in its corporate code of conduct. The impliction being that instead of being truly evil, Google will merely specialise in doing bad things.
